 Directions for Car Drivers
This route avoids the congestion experienced in the town centre.
Travelling south on the A23 from London, turn left towards the A27 and then take the first left onto the A27, heading towards Worthing. Take the next junction off the A27, signposted Hove. At the top of the slip road, take the second exit off the roundabout and proceed south along Dyke Road.
After 1.2 miles turn right into the Droveway and left into Shirley Drive, (alternatively continue until reaching the next traffic lights and turn right into The Upper Drive before turning left into Shirley Drive.) Proceed south until reaching the seafront, then turn left keeping in the left hand lane. After 0.5 mile you will pass the Grand Hotel, the Umi is just beyond this at No. 64 Kings Road.
